Jotagá Crema is a Brazilian director and screenwriter. He is one of the primary directors and writers of 3%, the first Brazilian Netflix Original Series, from the first season (2016) to its fourth and final one (2020). 3% was Netflix's most watched non-English language series in 2016, deriving over half of its audience from outside of Brazil, and went on to become a landmark in streaming platforms' production of original content worldwide. Jotagá has also created and directed several shows, such as Zoo da Zu (Discovery Kids, Emmy-nominated); Cinelab (Universal Channel); and Extraordinary Experiments (Cartoon Network), among others.
Joth Riggs is an award-winning filmmaker whose film career spans more than 30 years and includes over a hundred movies and television shows for all the major Hollywood studios. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Joth got his start on the set of O Cemitério Maldito II (1992). From there he went on to work as a production assistant on the sitcom Coach (1994) on the Universal lot before ultimately landing at Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment. It was only after being accepted into the prestigious Director's Guild Training Program that Joth left Amblin to become an Assistant Director. After years of A.D.ing on everything from feature films like Tropas Estelares (1997), Fim dos Dias (1999), and Jogo Suicida (1997) with Christopher Walken to t.v. series such as CSI: Investigação Criminal (2000), O Quinteto (1994), Doutora Quinn (1993), and S.O.S. Malibu (1989) among others, Joth made the move to the director's chair with several award-winning short films including Push (2011), Shaken (2012), and Heartfall (2013), as well as the television series The Encounter (2016) and the feature film Sicario - Perigo no Abrigo (2021), starring Natasha Henstridge, released by Paramount Pictures and Saban Films in 2021. Joth currently has several feature films in the works that he will be directing this coming year.
