Hello, my name is Derek Ware and I am from St. Louis Missouri. Born in the suburbs just outside of the city, I grew up a pretty normal suburb lifestyle riding bikes around the neighborhood and playing soccer and baseball on local teams. That was about until about 2002 when I first discovered racing and had an instant addiction to the motorsports world. My dad took me out to a local track where I first tested go-karts and found instant success. From there I knew my life was going to be action packed and filled with adrenaline! I race go-karts for about 7 years until my parents got divorced and money got tight. After a short break from racing I found my self back in a race car in 2014 where I went through the Skip Barber Racing School. In 2017 I competed in the SBRS Academy Shootout Championship which I won and gave me my jump into professional racing with USF4 and IMSA. Along side of my racing career I found a job with MotorTrend first as a precision driving helping with car to car filming and later working my way in front of the camera as a stunt driver. I eventually went on to become SAG eligible while working with MotorTrend. This opened up a lot of opportunity in the film world as i not only found myself more work as a stunt driver but eventually landing a couple spots as a special guest on two different reality TV shows. First I got a part as the famed race car driving competing against Sammy Maloof and Brian Tirado on the show Drive Hard: The Maloof Way and then again as a track record holder at Mid Pond Raceway coming back to compete against David Newbern and Mike Cotton on Faster With Finnegan. I even made a secret "Stig" appearance on a separate episode of Faster With Finnegan racing a Lamborghini against Mike Finnegan. I currently (September 2023) continue work behind the scenes of the MotorTrend show Runs Good as well as stunt driving and racing when the opportunities present themselves!
