D.C. was born in Berkeley, California, but lived and performed in theatre throughout the San Francisco Bay Area in the late '70's and early '80's. in 1985, his family history of the circus, vaudeville and burlesque (his grandmother was Grace Hathaway) led him to pursue an acting career in Los Angeles. He attended the Estelle Harman Actor's Workshop from '85-'89. D.C. has also written, produced and directed numerous short films over the years. In 2009,The Crooked Eye (2009), starring Academy Award winner Linda Hunt, received several awards and available on iTunes. Politically, in 2010 D.C. garnered many fans and detractors on social media for mocking the Tea Party movement and becoming "breaking news" on Fox News for a week, appearing on Geraldo Rivera Reports (2003), Joy Behar: Say Anything! (2009), and becoming the set-up for a comic bit about animated corporate spokesmen on The Daily Show (1996). All that led to a string of online satirical political videos poking fun at bigotry ("Burn A Koran Day"), online misogyny Anne Thériault's the Feminist in the Wild (2015), and corporate greed ("Why #OccupyWallStreet" which was aired on The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell (2010)). During the Trump years he wrote, produced and directed 19 episodes of Breaking News: Fake Trump Cartoons! (2017) featuring the voices of many popular voice actors, including Jason Marsden, Maurice LaMarche, Steve Blum, and Robbie Daymond. Due to his popularity with video game and anime fans, D.C. occasionally appears at anime/culture cons. Aside from innumerable US cons, past years have included Canada, UK, Australia and UAE.
